The Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Built Environment (CEBE) was established in December 2001 in the College of Engineering and Technology, the campus college of the University of Dar es salaam.

Faculty of CEBE comprise of four (4) academic departments, which are

 

 

 

Statement from the Dean::

*       The vision of CEBE is to become a centre of excellence in Civil Engineering and the Built Environment setting a national, regional and international benchmark in quality and relevance of teaching, research and public service.

*       We strive to continue to improve our outputs to meet if not to exceed our customers? expectations. These are not only our external customers but also include our students ? undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as our internal stakeholders.

*       We are dedicated to educate and train our students for self employment in the construction industry in Tanzania and beyond.

*       Our highly trained and dedicated staff are our main resources. These together with a rich mix of physical and information resources are our major strength.

*       Excellence in quality is our competitive edge.
